About | Sharon Lee Floyd was born on August 9, 1948, and left us on August 18, 2023. She is survived by her son, Michael Floyd (Karly Floyd), three grandchildren, Kai, Bode, and Everly. She is preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Greg Floyd. Before she was a widow, the two of them enjoyed touring the country on motorcycles and RV's. Sharon was born in Florida. She attended CWU, where she majored in Education and later went on to be a P.E. Teacher for 30 years. She was the head coach for basketball, volleyball, softball, track, and was very committed to each position and each student. She also taught Greg how to ski, which turned into one of the family's favorite things to do. Sharon and her family loved White Pass, where they all volunteered for the Ski Patrol together, making long lasting friends and memories. There were many trips to the beach, and mountains as well. Sharon was a fun and devoted friend to many. She very much enjoyed hosting a dinner or brunch during special holidays throughout the year. The beautiful centerpiece and place settings for each holiday were hand made by Sharon. Sharon had friends from all walks of life. The Wondering Widows were one favorite groups, whom Sharon often traveled with, staying at campsites in her motorhome with her beloved Jeep in tow. She was fearless and ready to go at a moment's notice, and it didn't matter where. Sharon's humility, kindness, simplicity and smile will remain always and forever! A Graveside Service will be held at West Hills Memorial Park on Thursday August 31, 2023, at 2:00pm. A Celebration of Life will follow, at Fontaine Estates. Everyone who knew Sharon is welcome to attend. |
