Michael was born on March 29, 1960 in Spokane, WA to his parents B.L. and Jeannie Bennett. He was husband to Delia Razon Bennett, father to Buddy Lee (April) and Brad Fallar Bennett. He was brother to Mary Serrano and Patrick (Lisa) Bennett. Michael was uncle to Nicholas Serrano, Drew and Lexie Bennett. He died of cancer on June 26, 2008 in Bremerton, WA. Michael attended Roosevelt and Hamblen elementaries, and graduated from Ferris High School in 1979. At Ferris he excelled in football and track. He retired from the US Navy after 20 years of service. After the Navy he was employed by the D.O.D. as a 'rigger' in Bangor, WA. His favorite pastime was bicycling. He participated in many races in the Philippines, Western Washington, and across the state. Michael always carried a bike aboard ship. When the ship pulled into port, he was away on a bike run. In this way he met his many Australian cousins. |
