About | August 23, 1952 to April 9, 1997 posted TCH April 12, 1997 John B Allaway 44 years old died at his home in Kennewick, WA April 9, 1997. He was the first baby born in the Kennewick General Hospital on August 23, 1952. He was born to Lawrence and Eileen Allaway. John was a Vietnam veteran and worked as a union carpenter at Hanford in the 300 area. He also volunteered many hours of construction at the Tri-City Chaplaincy Hospice House and always lent a helping hand to family and friends. He had many loves: Square and round dancing, landscaping, gardening, fishing, camping and most of all his children. John is survived by his wife, Tina of twenty years and his daughters, Erin and Kayla, and son Jarred. He also is survived by his sisters, Patty Martell and Barbara Rice, brothers, Larry Allaway and Dick Allaway, all of Kennewick, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the Shuffler's Shanty, 717 North Irving in Kennewick at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 12, 1997. There will be a gathering following the service. A trust fund will be set up for the children's education at the Kennewick GESA Federal Credit Union. |
