About | October 18, 1953 to February 15, 2002 David B. Bush, 48, of Belfair died February 15, 2002, at home. He was born October 18, 1953, in Pendleton, OR., to Dean and Marge (Albee) Bush. He graduated from Kennewick High School in Washington in 1971, from Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton in 1977 and from Oregon State University in Corvallis in 1981. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1972 to 1975, achieving the rank of Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class and receiving a letter of commendation for meritorious action. Mr. Bush was an engineer at Mare Island in Vallejo, CA, and at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 20 years. He married Valerie (Louge) Bush Dec. 10, 1988, in Marquam, OR. He was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and enjoyed watching the Seattle Mariners and the OSU Beavers football team. He attended Prince of Peach Catholic Church in Belfair. Mr. Bush is survived by his wife; his parents in Hermiston, OR; son Nathan Bush of Belfair; daughter Nicole Bush of Belfair; brothers Larry Bush of Salem, OR and Randy Bush of Hermiston. Visitation will be today from noon to 5 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Rill Chapel. A memorial mass will be said at 11 a.m. Saturday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church and he will be inurned at Willamette National Cemetery in Oregon.
