| About | Carolyn Trimble, 52 of La Grande died Oct. 6 at her home after a long illness. A celebration of life will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Summerville Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest East Cemetery. Mrs. Trimble was born Jan. 10, 1952, to Donald and Stella Zerby Cyr in Pasco, Wash. She graduated from high school in Kennewick and attended Western Baptist Bible College and Tennessee Temple College. She married Ernest Trimble on Aug. 11, 1972, in Kennewick. The couple lived in Hermiston for 19 years before moving to La Grande in 1998. She worked as a bookkeeper and enjoyed singing in the church choir, teaching Sunday school classes, ceramics and baking. Survivors include her husband of La Grande; children, Jeff Trimble of Lacey, Wash., Matt Trimble of Spokane, and Katrina Trimble of La Grande; her parents of Kennewick; brothers, Michael Cyr of McMinnville and Stephen Cyr of Seattle, and other relatives.
