About | December 20, 1952 to November 7, 1984 posted TCH November 14, 1984 The death of a former Tri-Cities resident is being investigated as a homicide by Spokane County Sheriff's department officials. Michael B. Davis, A 17-year resident of the Tri-Cities, was found shot to death in his Spokane home on November 7, 1984, a sheriff's department spokesperson said. Davis, a 1971 graduate of Kennewick High School, was shot to death in the early morning hours of November 7 and was found the following afternoon by a friend, the spokesperson said. The Sheriff's department has no suspects in the murder and "we don't know the motive." the spokesperson said. Michael B Davis, former Tri-Cities resided, died Wednesday in Spokane. He was 31. Davis, born in Preston, Idaho, was a 17-year Tri-Cities resident and a 1971 graduate of Kennewick High School. After his graduation, he worked for Boise Cascade and Kirby Company before moving to Spokane in 1976. While in Spokane, he worked as a salesman selling fund-raising packages for Spokane area schools, was employed by a company installing mobile homes and attended a Spokane trade school. He was later employed by Modern Drywall Construction of Spokane and worked there until the time of his death. He was a member of the Spokane Painters' Union. He is survived by his father, Boyd J Davis, of Post Falls, Idaho; mother Carol Davis Pitkin of Kennewick; brothers Steven Davis of Kennewick, Brian Davis and Allen Davis; grandmothers Lenna Peterson, of Milton-Freewater, Oregon, and Leta Davis of Preston, Idaho. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mueller's Tri-City Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to the family in care of the Mueller Funeral Home, P O Box 675 Kennewick. |
