After graduation, Don met and married his wife Terry in 1970 and were married 47 years at the time of his death. They had two children and numerous grandchildren which he adored and shared so much of his life. He began a professional career on Hanford patrol in 1974 and left as a Major after 19 years. He remained at Hanford serving in many roles including HR for contractors until his retirement. He volunteered as the Chief Civil Service Commissioner for the City of West Richland for 29 years and was awarded Citizen of the year by West Richland Police Assoc. Don passed away at the age of 67 on October 28, 2017, after a brief illness in Richland, WA. |
