Joe married Colleen (Willoughby) in 1970. After graduating from Central WA Univ., he taught and coached basketball in Alaska. Joe then obtained a master’s degree and was a high school teacher, administrator, counselor, while coaching numerous sports in the Fairbanks School District and University of Alaska, until his retirement in 2003. In 2005, Joe and Colleen returned to Kennewick where he coached the KeHS Lady Lions Basketball team for 3 yrs. He was a counselor at Kennewick High. Joe died June 29, 2009, in Alaska. |
