Beloved son, brother, uncle, daddy, grampa, friend, Clinton Dale Larson, born November
22, 1952, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on July 11, 2001 at Harborview Medical Center, Seattle, Washington, due to complications from an unexpected brain hemorrhage.

Clinton, age 48, having resided in Kennewick throughout his lifetime, formed many special friendships, several through his profession as a cost estimator for Fluor Federal Services, Richland, WA.

He was an avid outdoors man, enjoying hunting, fishing, and gardening. He loved to share his enthusiasm for the outdoors with the young people in his life.

As a young man, he worked with his father in the carpentry trade and used that knowledge to volunteer for the Hospice House, Playground of Dreams, and for friends.

He was a frequent blood donor, supporting the American Red Cross. He served our country as a military policeman during the Vietnam War. Clinton was always willing to give a hand to someone in need, to share advice and thoughts and was a source of strength to many.

Clint enjoyed photography, as well. He took a picture of the sun setting over the Columbia River in 1975 and gave it as a gift to his siblings. On the back of that picture was the following poem:

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold,
Her early leaf's a flower,
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf,
So Eden sank to grief.
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Clinton's mother, Violet M Larson, and a younger brother, Kendall W, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his father, Lewis E. Larson, his brothers and sisters, Linda Watson, Lorna and Jerry Johnson, Arvid and Debbie Larson, Lavon and Rich Sanders, Laureen and Mike Smart, and Lola and Clint Fjarli, his daughter Laura J Larson, and his grandson, Ryan E. Larson, and so many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, dear friends, and very special children Bethe, Cody, and Kadin Taylor, and Breanna.

Services will be held Monday, July 16th.

A graveside ceremony will be performed at 1:00 p.m. at Desert Lawn Memorial Cemetery, 10th and Union, Kennewick.

A celebration of life will follow at approximately 2:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of Joy. Gage Blvd, Richland, WA.

Viewing has been scheduled for Sunday, July 15th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Mueller's Funeral Home, 10th and Union, Kennewick.

In lieu of flower, donations can be made to the Hospice Services Tri-Cities Chaplaincy, 2108 West Entiat Avenue, Kennewick, WA 99336 in Clinton's name.

An account has also been established to assist in travel and living expenses for Clinton's immediate family, donations can be made to the Clinton Larson Contribution Fund c/o JoAnn Mahan at Banner Bank.
