Following graduation, Viney married high school sweetheart, Gerald Chavez and had 3 children and 10 grandchildren. They divorced after 34 years but remained close friends. In addition to being a caregiver for her parents, she was a property manager for several properties. She loved farming, gardening, and spending time with family. But her greatest passion was cooking and serving wonderful meals at events. Viney has a strong connection to her church and was known to always help anyone who needed it, even strangers. She loved her high school classmates and could always be found at any of the Class of 69 events with a big smile. Viney died on September 7, 2021, from complications of COVID-19. |
