Shortly after graduation, Nathan and classmate Ruth Mikels married. They had one son and later divorced. He remarried after joining the Mormon Church and had four children. The marriage ended and he left the church and moved to the East Coast where he married his best friend from KHS, Donna Taylor and they took in two Pakistani teens. Between 1969 and 1979 he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Puget Sound, a Juris Doctorate from BYU Law ‘77’, and a degree in computer programing. He practiced law in the Tri-Cities, Washington for 15 years before returning to his passion of computer programming where he developed and sold PC programs to play complicated Board Games. Nathan took active roles in EST/Landmark Forum, and Impact Training creating community retreats. He loved in-line skating and other physical activity interests. Nathan pursued his other passion for acting in local community theatre, something he loved doing in high school. In later life, Nathan suffered several significant medical conditions that ultimately led to his death on June 6th, 2023, in Auburn WA. He left behind his wife Donna, 5 children and 15 grandchildren. |
