About | Rob spent his childhood learning the many skills passed down from his father, including carpentry and brick laying. He would go on after high school to attend Eastern Washington University on a football scholarship. His true passion was for baseball; however, a rotator cuff injury would limit his sports to football. Rob would go on to graduate with his bachelor’s degree from Eastern Washington University and began teaching high school history. He not only had a passion for teaching history, but also for learning it. Rob had a wide breadth of knowledge, to the point where he auditioned for one of his favorite shows, Jeopardy, successfully making his way through several rounds of auditions. Rob would begin work as a contract administrator, working for several construction companies, travelling to Alaska and several locations along the east coast, among many other places throughout the United States. While working in Tri-Cities, he would meet the love of his life, Millie Rainey, and realize that they had been living extremely close to one another. The two would be wed on June 17, 2006, and began their life together in Inchelium, Washington. When Rob wasn’t travelling for work, he loved fishing. He and Millie spent hours together on the water, they could even see the lake from their front porch. He also had a great sense of humor, it could be quite dry, but Rob always had a whopper of a story ready for his next conversation. He would always end these tall tales by looking over to his sweetheart, saying, “Isn’t that right, Millie?”. Robert Charles “Rob” Sheehy was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Gaylene Sheehy. He is survived by his loving wife, Mildred “Millie” Sheehy; his son, Brandon Sheehy; his daughter, Corey Cunningham; 4 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons; and his brother, Raymond Sheehy. |
