James Arthur McCuen, a beloved resident of Okanogan, Washington and the Colville Indian Reservation, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 17th, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on Monday, August 23rd, 1943, in Omak, Washington, James lived a life marked by dedication, hard work, and love for his family and community. James was a devoted rancher, a profession that defined much of his life. His commitment to the land and his animals was evident to all who knew him. His work ethic and passion for ranching were an inspiration to many in the Okanogan community. James was preceded in death by his beloved wife and his parents. He cherished his family deeply and was a pillar of strength and support to those around him. His legacy of kindness, integrity, and perseverance will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. James will be dearly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in peace. A rosary will be held 7:00 PM, Friday, July 24th 2026 and a Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 25th 2026 both at the Okanogan Agriplex at the Fair Grounds. James will be laid to rest next to his wife at the Fort Okanogan Cemetery in Monse following the service at the Agriplex. |
