| About | On February 13, 2009, Andy Bratt, 23, died surrounded by friends and family after a short battle with cancer. Andy was born in Charleston, graduated from Capital High School and WVU Tech, and was employed by Proud Eagle Distributing. Andy is survived by his mother, Susan Nutter Bratt; father, John L. Bratt II; brother, John L. Bratt III; and maternal grandmother, Wanda Nutter. He is further survived by girlfriend, Whitney O'Neal; four aunts; four uncles; seven cousins; and many friends and coworkers. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John L. Bratt Sr. and Helen Jenkins Bratt; and his maternal grandfather, William F. Nutter. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 17, at Wilson Funeral Home, 420 Lee St. West, Charleston. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the David Lee Cancer Center, 3100 MacCorkle Ave. SE, Charleston, WV 25304 and cancer programs at the Charleston Area Medical Center.
