STEPHANIE LYNN DYER, 25, of Huntington, W.Va., was unexpectedly called home by the Lord on March 9, 2008. She was born June 19, 1982 in Huntington. She attended Hite Saunders Elementary, Beverly Hills Middle School and was a 2000 graduate of Huntington High School. Stephanie attended Radford University in Virginia and currently was a full-time student at Marshall University, majoring in Communication Disorders. Stephanie was scheduled to graduate in May 2009. Her goal was to be a Speech Language Pathologist helping victims of car wrecks, strokes, and disabilities in children's speech. Stephanie attended Lewis Memorial Baptist Church, where she dedicated her baby daughter, EmmaLayne Claire Tidd. Stephanie is survived by her parents, Ron and Tara Bolling Dyer of Huntington; the joy of her life, her beautiful daughter, EmmaLayne Claire; her sisters, brother-in-law, and nieces, Jessica Riffe and her daughter Evelyn Copas of Huntington and Tara Nicole and Tony Baker and their daughters Haley and Holly Baker of West Hamlin, W.Va.; her maternal grandparents, Larry and Carol Lee Bolling of Huntington; a special friend, Amy Gates of Huntington; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by an aunt, Yvonne Dyer. Stephanie had a contagious excitement for life and will be forever remembered by all who knew her. Flowers will be greatly appreciated or memorials will be accepted in her honor by the Scottish Rite Foundation, Childhood Language Program, P.O. Box 294, Huntington, WV 25707. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Dr. David B. Lemming officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington.
