Bronk, 51, of 7500 Rustic Drive, Custer, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, at Ministry Saint Michael's Hospital, after a four-year battle with Scleroderma & P.A.H. and lung cancer since September. She was born Nov. 29, 1959, to Robert and Genevieve (Koller) Lobner. Deborah attended St. Kilian's Catholic School in Blenker, Auburndale Elementary School, Arpin Junior High School and graduated in 1978 from Auburndale High School. Her marriage to Lester Bronk took place Aug. 30, 1997, at Newman University Parish in Stevens Point. After the marriage, the couple settled in Custer. Deborah was employed at Sentry Insurance for 32 years, most recently as a statistical analyst. She sang in the church choir at St. Kilian's, taught CCD at Newman University Parish, was a Girl Scout troop leader and was past secretary of Home & School at Sacred Heart Catholic School. She enjoyed spending time with her family and visiting with the neighbors and their children, reading, watching the SyFy Channel, rummage sales, music, where she sang at weddings. The last 10 years, she loved to go salmon fishing with her family and friends on Lake Michigan. Survivors include her husband, Lester Bronk of Custer; daughters, Lisa Nikolai of Stevens Point and Kimberly Bronk of Custer; brothers, Gregory (Margaret) Lobner of Onalaska and Stephen (Diane) Lobner of Rudolph; sisters, Roberta (Edward) Kadrlik of Milladore, Kathleen (Scott) Murphy of Wisconsin Rapids, Colleen (Robert) Yusten of Nekoosa, Carla Lobner (John Hoffman) of town of Sherry and Donna (Joseph) Barney of Stevens Point; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lobner; and a sister, Susan Lobner. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Polonia, with the Rev. Marcin Mankowski officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, Stevens Point; and again Friday from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church. A parish rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name will be established at a later date.
