He was a great person! Such a caring person. I knew him since he was 14. He was always so goofy and fun loving. He always did stuff you just shook your head at. He loved being with the few friends he had. He was a very driven person and one of the most important person in my life when I was going through some personal issues. He died in Milwaukee on Jan 17 2017. I did not know until feb. I kept calling his phone but he never returned my message. After a week or so I had something in me that felt some kind of hole. I think I knew he might have passed. I waited a bit then did what I'm sure some of have done is, look up obitiaries, yes his was there! He was 56. Still hurts not talking to him. He worked when he was 14 very hard cutting grass and was very proud of being great at doing that. He loved fishing. He worked at Quick Cable for a few years while being a axuliry firefighter. He got hired a a firefighter in Mt Plesant then on the Racine FD. He kind of got lost after that for awhile but remained positive. I reconnected with Larry after 14 years while I was serving in Iraq. He was blown away by me calling him from a war zone. Larry and his sister was adopted and never knew their biological parents. He lost his adopted parents a few years before he passed. His sister was killed in Milwaukee by a distracted driver. He has a daughter Stacy which I believe lives in WI. I just wanted to acknowledge a great person for our class of 1978. RIP Larry, always think about you buddy. |
