About | Dennis “Charlie†“Den-Den,†33, of Bloomer passed away Friday, April 11, 2003, at his home surrounded by his family after a nine-month struggle with cancer. Dennis was born on June 29, 1969, in Bloomer to Dennis and Jean (Swoboda) Schindler. He graduated from Colfax High in 1988. He married Kelli Mitchell on October 27, 2001, at St. John's Catholic Church in Cooks Valley. Dennis and Kelli owned and operated Kelli's Happy Hour in Bloomer. Before marrying Kelli, Dennis worked with his Dad at Cooks Valley Processing and was a fireman for the Colfax fire department. He was an avid hunter and dedicated card player. Dennis is survived by his wife, Kelli Schindler; children, Krystal Ronnestrand and Leah Schindler all of Bloomer; his parents, Dennis and Jean Schindler of Colfax; one brother, Brady Schindler of Colfax; three sisters, Brigid (David) Shipman of Colfax, Mandy (Kim) Knutson of Colfax and Becky (John Ekblad) Schindler of Menomonie; his grandmother, Helen Swoboda of Eau Claire; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Dennis is preceded in death by one sister, Roxanne Schindler; grandparents, Harold and Bernice Schindler and Walter Swoboda; aunt Pamela Schindler.
