About Mark was killed the afternoon of August 27, 1999, in an experimental aircraft known as a Breezy. Upon take off at Rock County Airport, Janesville, the aircraft began to porpoise at 100 feet. Mark tired to correct the aircraft as it was forced, nose down, into the ground. Mark was killed instantly. He left behind his high school sweetheart and wife, Darla (Kemmer) Jacobson, their unborn child, Jessica Grace Jacobson, an 8 year old son, David Clayton Jacobson, and 5 year old daughter, Raechel Gail Jacobson, who reside in Clinton, WI. Darla devoted the prime of her life to raising her children into adulthood with the help of her parents, Bob and Gail Hansen, Delavan. Her children were brought up with a happy childhood of opportunity, love, and devotion. David graduated Clinton High School in 2010. He began restoring classic cars at 16 and is a self-taught restoration specialist. His business is American Thunder Restorations, Darien, WI. Raechel graduated from Clinton High School in 2012, U.W.-Madison in 2016, and is pursuing her degree in family dentistry at Dental School in Ann Arbor , MI. Jessica is currently a Junior at Clinton High School. She will graduate in 2018 and attend U.W.-Madison. All three children love and treasure their mother and all she has done in her life to raise them with strong family bonds to the Jacobson family (Jim/Karen Jacobson & sons Steven, Daniel, and Paul- Delavan, WI) as well as her own family. (Bob(Delavan)/Gail Hansen & Robyn Hansen, Shawn Kemmer) Mark would be proud of the selfless, strong, God-fearing woman he married and her decision to provide a secure, stable childhood to their children.
