About | Carol Lynn Caruso, 63, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 in Phoenix, AZ. She was born on December 14, 1954 in Madison, Wisconsin, to Carrie and Al Caruso of Phoenix, AZ, and raised in Fond du Lac. She attended Sacred Heart Elementary School, graduated from L.P.Goodrich High School (class of 1973) , and Arizona State University, Tempe AZ (class of 1977). She was the Director of Counseling at Bourgade Catholic High School in Phoenix, AZ for the past 20 years. Carol is survived by her son, Anthony Tapia (Molly); sisters, Rose Roberts of Appleton and Patsy Caruso of New York; brothers, James (Marla) of Phoenix and Michael of Phoenix; grandchildren, Caleb and Eli and; nieces, Gina Roberts, Amy Caruso Cooper, Kaitlyn Caruso; and nephews, Joe and Michael Roberts, Michael and Ryan Caruso, and Joe Wilson, and grand-nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her beloved grandparents, her Godparents Aunt Toots and Uncle Carly Caruso, both of Madison, and other loved aunts and uncles, as well as her much loved sister-in-law, Theresa Caruso. Carol enjoyed traveling with her students on a yearly basis to various places throughout Europe. Her most memorable moment in time was when Carol had the opportunity to meet Mother Teresa. She helped those in need in Mexico by building houses each spring break with her students. But most of all, Carol enjoyed cheering on the beloved Green Bay Packers and was a Green Bay Packer owner. For those of you who may remember Carol during her formative years in FDL, she was a lifeguard and swim instructor at the County Pool and at the YMCA. She was known for her elaborate synchronized swimming shows, with a Walt Disney theme as her most memorable. She was also on the swim team which gave her, and others, many fond memories. A high point in high school was cheering for the 1972-73 basketball squad to the state finals. She was an active member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority while attending ASU. The funeral mass, arranged by Chapel of the Chimes, is on Tuesday, February 13 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church, 4715 N. Central Ave, Phoenix, Arizona for those who may be in the Phoenix area. |
