Thomas Ley was a Hamilton High scholar, member of the Varsity Wrestling and football team. On August 20 1971 Tom and friend and classmate, Mark Perleberg, were scuba diving in Menomonee County Park, Waukesha when Tom became ill. Mark Perleberg rescued Tom, brought him to shore and began resuscitation with the help of lifeguards but the effort was unsucessful. Tom is the son of Rev Raymond and Mrs. Catherine Ley. Tom is also survived by his sisters: Janet Ley Schnabel and Dorothy Ley and his brother, David Ley. He is laid to rest at Forest Home Cemetery in Milwaukee. |
