About | Keith Richard Bower, 50, of Onalaska passed away Tuesday October 4, 2022, after a months-long battle with cancer. He was born on May 21, 1972 to Michael and Judy (Sorenson) Bower of Holmen, WI. Keith graduated Holmen High School then enrolled in automotive technology at WWTC and graduated with an associate degree. Auto Value Parts Store was his employer for many, many years until his death. Keith won the heart of his wife Cari in 1997 and they married on October 11, 2003. Together they resided in the LaCrosse area throughout their 19 years of marriage. An avid sports fan he could tell you who was playing, where and when. He spent many years working on the pit crew for Mary Schill at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway. He loved watching NASCAR and was fortunate to visit some major racetracks across the country, as well as the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Keith was also a big baseball fan. He and Cari were season ticket holders for the LaCrosse Loggers and they rarely missed a game. One of his favorite sports events was LaCrosse Day at Miller Park. He would go to that Brewers game with his dad, sister and brother. He would often take a lot of razzing about it, but his favorite football team was the Pittsburgh Steelers. More recently Keith and Cari developed a love for hockey and they attended a few Minnesota Wild hockey games together. Keith was a devoted grandson to his grandmother, Betty, who lived next door. Rarely a day went by that he did not go to her house to spend time with her and make sure she had everything she needed. Keith was a hard worker and loved his family. He will be missed by all who knew him. Keith is survived by his wife of 19 years, Cari (Myers) Bower, and their beloved cat Reynolds. He is also survived by his parents Michael and Judy (Sorenson) Bower, Grandmother Betty (Herrmann) Sorenson, sister Christine (Bower) Miller, brother Allen Bower, sisters in law Kathy (Adam Akey) Myers and Jennifer (Donald) Luce, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Keith was preceded in death by their beloved fur-baby Squeak, his grandfather Richard Sorenson, aunt Kathleen (Sorenson) Dikeman, aunt Marilyn Bower, his paternal grandparents, John Sr. and Ione Bower, and his father-in-law Michael Myers. |
