MIDDLETON-Bruce Besadny, age 64, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. He was born on August 19, 1953, in Madison, the son of Carroll (Dennis) “Buzz” and Barbara (Aldrich) Smith Besadny. Bruce was married to Janet (Grosse Kottka) Besadny on June 23, 1984, in Middleton. Bruce was an Eagle Scout and a Conscientious Objector to the Vietnam War. He graduated from Memorial High School in 1971 and the UW Madison in 1975. Bruce worked on Workers’ Compensation for the Department of Natural Resources. He had a variety of interests and was an avid reader of varied subjects including Theoretical Physics and the Shroud of Turin, and many authors including Dean Koontz, Preston & Child, and Sigurd Olson. He was a horror movie buff and a poet, loved to learn, and especially enjoyed nature and music. Bruce was at his best being a Dad, and was part of a loving family, which he treasured most of all. Bruce is survived by his loving wife Janet (Grosse Kottka) Besadny; son Ryan (Kottka) Besadny (Jennifer Loftus Besadny); daughter Caitlin (Besadny) Carton (Josh Carton); grandson William Besadny; mother Barbara Besadny; sisters Barb Roeber (Larry Black), Sarah Besadny (Jim Meiers), and Jean Garcia (Andy Garcia). He was preceded in death by his father C.D. “Buzz” Besadny and a niece, Andrea Garcia. |
