As most of you may already know, Wendnesday morning marked the day of a great tragedy to a lot of people in Johnson Creek and the surrounding areas. I feel compelled to share with you all, a few thoughts about one of my dearest friends. Shannon Marie Wolf/Uselman (30) and her beautiful baby boy, Chase Logan (7mo) were in a deadly car accident on Hwy 26. It is always unfortunate to lose a life, and in this case two, but those of us who had the great honor of knowing Shannon will remember what a wonderful spirit she truly was. I have had the pleasure of having Shannon in my life for 14 years, and I can honestly say, I have never met such a genuinely wonderful person. She had such love and gratitude for everyone in her life! From her job as a CNA caring for the elderly, to her family, and her friends, she was nothing but true! She never failed to tell me or write to me on a regular basis, how much I meant to her,and I would be willing to bet there are others she told as well! She tried to have a baby for a long time, and when she finally got pregnant, I thought to myself there is no one more deserving of the wonderful experience to be a mother than Shannon! If there is anything good that can come of her and her baby's death for me, it is to remember the things and people that are most important in my life. I will not let their untimley death be without reason! I will remember to take each day with my family as if there is no tomarrow. I will remember to tell them I love them and srive to spend as much time with them as I can! After all, it is those that are the closest to us, who matter the most. To Shannon's family I can only send my thoughts and prayers that the time will hurry up and ease their pain, for they not only lost a wonderful, wonderful woman, but her adorable baby as well! God bless you Shannon and Chase! |
