About | David L. Miller, age 68, of Boyceville, died Friday, May 14, 2010, at his home in the Township of Sheridan, with his family and with hospice care. David was born May 2, 1942, in Menomonie. He was the son of LaVern and Ida (Edwards) Miller. He attended Menomonie High School and graduated in 1961 in the last class to graduate from the old high school. He was drafted into the U.S. Army from September of 1961 until September of 1965. He volunteered in the 82nd Airborne Division and then went into Special Forces. After the service, David returned to Menomonie and attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout and became a Master Electrician. David lived in Minnesota for 22 years and then moved back to Wisconsin. He lived in Eau Galle before moving to Boyceville, where he married his wife, Lorene, and retired. David is survived by his mother, Ida of Menomonie; his wife, Lorene; his children, Carrie (Wade) Utphall of Helena Mont., Troy (Jeanna) Hollister of Boyceville, Michelle (Eldon) Nash of Apple Valley, Minn., Davey Miller of Menomonie, Tasha (Todd) Podratz of Gaylord, Minn. And Tonya (Dean) Jenkins of Minnesota; one brother, Gerald (Naomi) Miller of Menomonie; three sisters, Arlene (Richard) Klatt, Winnie (Windy) Wolf and Elaine (Don) Werner, all of Menomonie; 14 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; many friends; and Zoie. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Lavern Jr. |
