| About | Eric L. Tilseth, 46, of Menomonie, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 1998, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN. Eric was born Aug. 27, 1951, in Menomonie to Allen and Vivian (Batchelder) Tilseth. He was raised in the Menomonie area and graduated in 1969 from Menomonie High School. Eric attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls one year and UW-Stout one year. He then went to Chicago and did construction work for a short time before returning to Menomonie where he continued to do construction work for a while. Eric has farmed on the home farm in the Town of Tainter the last 25 years. Eric enjoyed snowmobiling, playing bean bags, and playing pool. He was a member of the Tainter Trail Tamers Snowmobile Club, the BA's bean bag team, and the BA's pool team on the Wednesday Night Men's League. He loved his children dearly and will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Eric is survived by one son, Pvt. Jacob L. Tilseth of Gulfport, Miss; two daughters, Amber A. Tilseth and Ashley L. Tilseth, both of Menomonie; his mother, Vivian Tilseth of Menomonie; three sisters, Karen (Richard) Olson, Kathleen Diedrich and Eva (Daniel) Smith, all of Menomonie; seven nieces and nephews, Rich, Ryan and Bethany Olson, Heather (Troy) Kuhn, Summer and Tyson Diedrich, and Danika Smith; great-nieces and great-nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, and a niece, Hope Joylin Diedrich. |
