About | Visitation: Saturday, September 13, 2008 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM Olson Funeral Home Menomonie, Wi 54751 JAMES “KOCH” KOCHENDORFER James “Koch” Kochendorfer died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire from complications following hip surgery. A native of Menomonie since his birth, Jan. 23, 1923, Jim attended Menomonie High School where he played basketball. He then went on to U.S. Army duty in January 1943. After completing three years in the service, he returned to Menomonie, where he met his wife, Terri. They were married Sept. 9, 1947. Jim worked for Budge O’Connell’s Radio and TV Service for 25 years, helping with the first cable service. In his younger years, Jim enjoyed baseball, playing for the Eagles. Later, he enjoyed playing golf with Monsignor Blecha, Wally Smetana, Dwight Agnew and other boys. Jim’s American Legion work also meant a lot to him. His great sense of humor and wit were there until the end. Jim is survived by his wife, Terri; daughter, Susan (Carl) Snow; grandsons, Christopher and Zachary Snow; brother, Gerald (Pat) Kochendorfer; and sister, June (Tom) Gordon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Virginia (Suckow) Kochendorfer. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. There will be a visitation held from 1:00 to 5:00 PM Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, where there will also be a flag presentation conducted by Menomonie Veterans Honor Guard at 4:45 PM.
