| About | Jeffrey Holland Millar, age 29, of Menomonie, died Friday, December 28, 2007 at home in the loving care of his family. Jeff was born April 25, 1978 to Holland and Patty (Overby) Millar. He grew up in Menomonie and graduated from Menomonie High School in 1996. Jeff worked for the Clark Farms in Boyceville, Better Brite and Tri-Mart Corporation. Jeff had many hobbies and interests. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially enjoyed these activities with his favorite Uncle Ross and his many friends. Jeff was an avid Brewer fan and Dale Jarrett fan, and he loved his dog, Ranger. His friends and family members would agree that some of the best times were spent at the family cabin in Grandview, WI. Jeff saw the humor in life’s every day events and loved to tell a good story. He had an incredible memory and could readily recall names, dates, historical events, and people. At a young age, Jeff was stricken with Adrenal Leukodystrophy, a disease that would eventually claim his life. Despite the odds and with the assistance of his family, a caring physician, and home health nursing staff, Jeff managed to maintain his independence for several years and lived in his own apartment. Jeff faced his disease with courage and was able to be “in charge” and dictate his wishes throughout. Jeff is suvived by his parents, Holland and Patty Millar, and his brother Josh Millar (Jessica Boles) of Menomonie; grandmother, Betty Millar of Menomonie; grandfather, Marlin Overby of Birchwood; aunts and uncles Debbie (Don) Lindemann of New Richmond; Rita (Ross) Lunderville, Mary (Jerry) Kerg, all of Menomonie, and Jenny (Chuck) Breed of Gillette, WI, Peggy Lynn of Menomonie, and Sharon (Jeff) Williams of Laramie, WY. He is further survived by cousins Chelsea and Will Lindemann, Christy Fisher, Mike, Matt (Katie) and Derek Lunderville; Aaron, Kennedy and Ellison Kerg; Maya and Duncan Breed; Jamie Overby; Maria (Tom) Erickson; Randy and Michael McQuiston, Brandi (Mike) Holcomb; Jean Williams, and Jackie (Stephan) Roaque; and many extended family and friends. Jeff is also survived by his dog, Ranger. Jeff was preceded in death by his brother Justin; grandmother Gloria Overby; grandfather Jeptha Millar; uncles Marlin Overby and John Millar, and his dog, Dre. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 3, 2008, at Christ Lutheran Church in Menomonie, with Rev. Geoff Scott officiating. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran/Halvorson Cemetery in Menomonie. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
