| About | John R. Miller, age 79 of Menomonie, WI passed away Sunday September 23, 2023 at his home surrounded by family. He was born August 1, 1944 to Norman and Mildred (Halverson) Miller in Omaha, NE. John attended the University of River Falls in River Falls, WI for three years. John married Georgie in 1966 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Menomonie. Together they had four children. He worked as Public Works Director for the city of Menomonie. In his free time, he enjoyed playing cards with his friends at Dean and Sues and spending time with his family. Johns is survived by his wife Georgie; children Mike (Missy), Katie, and Patrick (Jenny) Miller; daughter-in-law Andrea Miller; grandchildren Cade, Austin, Jade, Chevy, Gavin, and Avery. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, son Marty, and sister Sonja. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 29, 2023 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI with Pastor Mary Eide officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Menomonie, WI. In Lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to The American Heart Association, Dunn County Humane Society or Stepping Stone of Dunn County. |
