About JONNA SUE SHERVEY

Jonna Sue Shervey, age 28, of Menomonie, WI passed away at home, on Sunday, April 27, 2008 following a courageous fourteen month battle with cancer, surrounded by family and her hospice nurse, Marcie.

She was born June 12, 1979 in Menomonie, WI to John and Roberta (Hilmanowski) Shervey. Jonna was baptized and confirmed at New Hope Lutheran Church in Downsville. She attended North Elementary School and graduated from Menomonie High School in 1997. Following high school, Jonna attended CVTC in Eau Claire for two years and worked at Leipnitz Dental in Menomonie before beginning her career with Red Cedar Medical Center, where she has worked for the past eight years.

Jonna loved the simple things in life and enjoyed small town life. She had a wonderful sense of humor and could always find the good in others, never focusing on herself. She also taught herself to knit and was a great movie buff. Jonna will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Northwest Wisconsin HomeCare Hospice Program and the chemo nurses at Red Cedar Medical Center for their loving care and support.

Jonna is survived by:

I Carry Your Heart with Me - E.E. Cummings
I carry your heart with me (I Carry it in My heart) I am never without it (anywhere I go you go: and whatever is done by only me is your doing) I fear no fate (for you are my fate) I want no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true) and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant, and whatever a sun will always sing is you. Here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart. I carry your heart (I carry it in my heart)
