| About | Kenneth R. Schmutz, age 63, of Menomonie, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at his home. Kenneth Robert Schmutz was born June 15, 1950, in Durand, to Robert and Alma (Langland) Schmutz. In 1968, Ken graduated from Menomonie High School. He has resided near the family farm in the Town of Menomonie all of his life. Ken spent his career driving truck, most recently with Yaggy Trucking of Rochester, Minn., hauling sand out of Fairmount Minerals in Menomonie. Ken loved the outdoors, doing yard work, planting flowers, picking berries and making maple syrup. He also loved spending time with his family. Ken is survived by his two daughters, Tracie Schmutz (Tom Stoeklen) and Holly Schmutz; three step-daughters, Peggy (Matt) Wilk, Sally (Jeremy) Dahl, Brittany (Andrew) Schultz; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond Schmutz (Audrey Ahner), Michael (Violet) Schmutz; and one niece Patricia (Pierre) Waller. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2014, at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie. No services are planned.
