About | Larry F. Shock, age 68, of Menomonie, WI passed away Wednesday, September 5th, 2012 at his home. He was born January 17, 1944 in Menomonie, WI to Frederick (Fritz) and Phyllis (Rudiger) Shock. He grew up in Menomonie and graduated from Menomonie High School in 1963. He then served in the Army National Guard. Larry married Janet Baker on November 13, 1965. They had three children and later divorced. Larry was a Union Plumber with Halvorson Bros. in Menomonie for 38 years. He enjoyed his work, friends and family and was an avid Packers fan. Larry is survived by his mother, Phyllis Shock of Menomonie, children Tammy (Wayne) Hoyt of Durand, Tim (Heather) Shock of Elmwood, Tracey (Todd) Mercil of Wyoming, MN and siblings; Donna Muenich (Tom) of Colfax, Linda Price (Steve) of Spring Valley and Peggy Tibbetts (Tod) of Silt, CO. He is also survived by grandchildren; Mackenzie, Emily and Jessie Hoyt, Alyssa and Calvin Shock, Ellie and Adam Mercil. He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick (Fritz) Shock. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, with Pastor Carol Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Mamre Cemetery in the Town of Menomonie, Dunn Co. WI with military honors conducted by Menomonie Veterans Honor Guard. There will be visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral Home. |
