| About | Linda Kay (Tremble) Schwartz, 80, of Round Rock, Texas, passed away December 13, 2025. She was born November 4, 1945, in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, to John Edward Tremble III and Jean Lucille (Score) Tremble, and later moved with her family to Menomonie, Wisconsin. Linda graduated from Menomonie High School in 1963. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls and later completed her master’s degree in Linguistics at Colorado State University. She married William (Bill) Schwartz on August 27, 1966. A lifelong learner, Linda was known for her curiosity, resilience, and gift for teaching. She taught English, history, journalism, and technology, and worked in education and healthcare accreditation, helping others adapt to new tools and systems. She was also devoted to genealogy, building an extensive family tree and authoring publications focused on Norwegian heritage. Linda found joy and community through training and competing with agility dogs. She is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Schwartz; son Theodore Schwartz; daughter Elizabeth Schwartz; granddaughters Jessica Dunmire, Taylor Schwartz, and Alexandra Schwartz; great-grandson Killian Dunmire; great-granddaughter Josephine Dunmire; and brother John Tremble. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Betty Jean Tremble, Carol Barresi, and Julie Tremble. A memorial Mass was held at St. Helen Catholic Church in Georgetown, Texas December 30, 2025. A remembrance service will be held May 8, 2026 at Rhiel’s Funeral Home in Menomonie, Wisconsin, prior to burial at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Menomonie.
