About | Sally A. Quinn, age 60, of Downing, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, at the Westfield Hospital in New Richmond. Sally was born Oct. 4, 1949 in Sparta, to Robert A. and Gloria Ann (Miller) Leis. She graduated from Menomonie High School in 1968. Sally married James Quinn Jan.18, 1969, at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Boyceville. She worked 13 years at Andersen Windows in Bayport, Minn. Sally enjoyed traveling out west and the southwest, decorating her home, and doing the yardwork. She loved spending the holidays with the grandchildren and her family. Sally is preceded in death by her mother, Gloria; maternal and paternal grandparents; and niece, Jenny Lou Mikla. Sally is survived by husband, James of Downing; four children: Jim Quinn and wife Sherri of New Richmond, Melissa Ullom and husband Chris of Glenwood City, Shannon Anderson (Dale Styer) of Elmwood, and Bridget Klatt and husband Dan of Emerald; eight grandchildren: Jesse and Nick Quinn, Janessa, Marcus and Bethany Ullom, Samantha, Rachel and Jordan Klatt; Father Robert Leis of LaCrosse; three brothers and two sisters: Donna Danovsky and husband Al of Knapp, Janet Mikla and husband Larry of Downing, Larry Leis and wife Sarah of Oak Park, Minn., Robin Leis and wife Bonnie of Green Bay, and Nathan Leis. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 15, at St. Bridgets Catholic Church in Wilson, with Fr. William Murphy as celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City on Sunday, Feb. 14, from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
