About | Susan M Roodell Dunn County News, Wed, Jan. 30, 2002, A6 Susan M. Roodell, age 42, of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Menomonie, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2002, at her home after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. The former Susan M. Welch was born July 21, 1959, in Chippewa Falls to Ronald and Gloria (Anderl) Welch. She was raised in Menomonie and graduated in 1976 from Menomonie High School. Susan worked as an accountant for Western Life in Woodbury, Minn., until taking time to raise her family. She was part owner of Abb-Co Trucking in Menomonie until 1997 when she moved her family and trucking business to Florida. The last five years Susan worked at the St. Petersburg Country Club in Florida. Susan will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by two sons and one daughter, Nathan Roodell of Hudson, Angela Roodell of Menomonie, and Eric Roodell of St. Petersburg; her mother, Gloria (Lawrence) Ziehl of Menomonie; two sisters and four brothers, Victoria Stewart of Memphis, Tenn, Cheryl (Kenneth) Olson of Wheeler, Kenneth (JoAnn) Welch of New Richmond, Michael Welch and Glenn Welch, both of Menomonie, and Tony Welch of Memphis; her grandmother, Frienda Anderl of Bloomer; a stepsister, Patricia (David) Sol of Osceola; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends; and a special friend, Linda Madden of St. Petersburg. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Welch; a brother, Charles Welch; a niece, Leha Olson; her grandfather, Aloysius Anderl; and her paternal grandparents. |
