About | Michael G. Earnest, 48, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2001, at his home in the Birmingham Ridge Community in Mississippi. He was born March 26, 1953, in Kenosha, Wisc. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Tupelo. He served as general manager for the Simon Properties Group, where he was responsible for managing the Oak Court and Raleigh Springs malls in Memphis. He was a talented musician and toured with a championship drum and bugle corps in the early 1970s. He composed and arranged music for many years and worked as a studio musician. He enjoyed genealogy, coaching youth baseball, woodworking and creating and recording music on his computer. Survivors include two sons, Christopher Earnest of High Point, N.C. and Ryan Earnest of Greensboro, N.C.; a daughter, Lindsay Earnest of Birmingham Ridge; the mother of his children, Linda Earnest of Tupelo; one grandchild C.J. Earnest of High Point, N.C.; his parents, Bobby and Betty Earnest of Tupelo, two brothers, Dr. David Earnest of Athens, Ga. and Timothy Earnest of Indianapolis and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Mark, Paul and Joel Earnest. |
