Jerry. my brother. was known by many classmates due to his football carrier through High School. I recall that he hung with Dennis Barkley, Robert Tucci the Moe brothers (our neighbors) and a few others. He dated many beautiful girls in HS that may remember him but Diane Peterson was the one that got away. He was always in love with her, I believe. He enlisted in the Navy, served in Vietnam. He went on to serve another twenty years and retired a Chief Petty Officer in Pensacola, FL. He then worked very had for the VA trying to make sure that vets got their pensions and medical benefits. He suffered heart problems but, he eventually passed from cancer and heart complications in 2017. Even though he was 9 years my senior, I met many of his friends. I visited him at most of his posts. He was my hero too. |
