Events Dean W. Malcolm born September 27, 1955 passed away at home April 10, 2020 in New Berlin, Wisconsin at age 64.He bravely battled ALS and through faith, we know he's gained his perfect heavenly body. He's met our Lord and has already given Him an earful! Dean is survived by his wife Bess (Mielotz), son Matthew (Whitney), and daughter Allison (Chase) Godwin. He was blessed with six delightful grandchildren: Melanie, Rosie, William, Benjamin, Shepherd, and Larkin.Also left behind is his mother, Maurine Ayers, brothers Larry (Mary), Dale (Merily), and sister Susan (Richard) Heil; in-laws Toni (James) Hanson, Michael (Denise) Mielotz, and Deena (James) Peters.He was gifted with many nieces and nephews who will greatly miss an uncle who truly enjoyed each and every one.It's well known Dean befriended every person he met. At the top of the list are Mike, Steve, Benno, Chris, Jim G., Tom and so on. Honestly, too many to ?t on this page.

Dean was proud to have served his community as a Milwaukee ?re?ghter for 25 years. His family is grateful for the enduring friendships he was a?orded through the brotherhood. Thank you especially to Pete and Jim M.He was a faithful believer, helpful neighbor, fanatic soccer enthusiast (ManU!), proli?c blood donor, handyman, hunter, and outdoor sportsman.

The Wisconsin Safer at Home mandate prevents a memorial service at this time. You're all encouraged to use the Schmidt & Bartelt website and Dean's Facebook page to leave greetings. Additionally, the family asks you to be generous to your own communities in anyway you choose in honor of Dean.His wish for us is to always be ready to lend a hand and never miss an opportunity to make a new friend.

A Memorial Service will be held at Weatherstone Church, 1500 S. West Lane, New Berlin, WI on Saturday, August 22nd at 10:30 AM with a visitation from 9:00 AM until time of Service.
