Events | Dianne Lynn Grosenick Chapman passed away April 3rd, 2020 at her home. Dianne was born December 1960 in Watertown To Otto and Gladys (Jaeger) Grosenick. She went to St. Mark's Lutheran School and graduated from Watertown High School in 1979. Her first few years after school she had her wanderlust take her to many places throughout the USA. She returned to Watertown in 1982. Dianne was a server at Donny's Supper Club for many years. One of her part-time jobs was chauffeuring for a local Limousine service. On one of her appointments, she was to take a few guys to Summerfest. Since there were too many to fit in the back, one man said he would sit up front with the driver. That person was Gregg Chapman, who Dianne married in 1989. Dianne and Gregg started their family in 1991 and had their son, Eric and two years later, Daughter, Amber. Dianne and Gregg did most things together. Farming the land in Alderley, cutting wood in the area. planting and harvesting the crops from 1999 to 2017. Dianne really took to waitressing and worked at Armeli's Meat 'N Place in Stone Bank for a number of years as well. She loved serving people. While working at the restaurant, she also started something new and became a store shelf merchandiser for CrossMark out of Waukesha in 2001 and L & R Distributors. This brought out her creative side of being neat and orderly. She loved making the displays "just right". She had to sideline that when her cancer caused havoc with her ability to use her hand. Dianne was able to spend most of her free time after that with her grandson, Avery. What a joy to see him grow and to see Eric and Amber grow into fine adults. Dianne was the original "pioneer woman". She made lye soap and made woven rugs in her days before working full time. She liked to landscape and plant lots of flowers around her home and the family golf course, DeerTrak in Alderley. She made colorful and whimsical birdhouses which she displayed around the golf course and gave to family and friends. She also lived for the days she could go to rummage sales and thrift shops always looking for that "next favorite thing". She had an eclectic taste and collected a little of everything, from buttons to bowls. Dianne is survived by her husband of 30 years, her son Eric Chapman (Anna Luterbach), daughter Amber McDowell (Ben) and grandson, Avery. Her brothers and sisters, David Grosenick (Patti), Debbie Schwantes (Jerry), Dawn Winkelman, Dale Grosenick and sister-in-law Debbie Chapman. There are many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and great friends. Dianne is preceded by her parents Otto and Gladys Grosenick, father-in-law Don Chapman, mother-in-law Shirley Chapman, Mary Chapman and Ellie Chapman. Dianne loved life and made the most of her days on this earth. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorial service will be determined at a later date. Pagenkopf is serving the family. |
