Edward P. Melchior, 62, of Watertown, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with Father Patrick Wendler officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated to the Watertown Humane Society. Edward Paul Melchior "The Mufflerman" was born on April 29, 1956 in Hoffman Estates, IL to Edward William and Charlotte Marie (nee Bober) Melchior. Ed owned and operated C E Muffler Shoppe in Watertown for 40 years. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Watertown. Ed enjoyed stock car racing all over Wisconsin. Ed also enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time. He is survived by his three sons: James Melchior of Milwaukee, Brian Melchior of Watertown, Eric (fiancé Rachel) Melchior of Watertown; his father Edward Melchior of Temple, TX; three grandchildren: Brice Edward Melchior, Savannah Melchior, Ayden Kulick; siblings, Charles Melchior of Lebanon, Gail (Jeff) Hoberg of Morgan's Point Resort, TX; nieces, Courtney (Justin) Barnes, Melisa (Austin) Ptomey, Jessica Melchior; nephews, Andrew Melchior, Cody Melchior; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Melchior.
