Events | Eljean Marcella Seefeldt (Johnson) of Las Vegas, NV, passed away on April 8, 2024. Eljean was born in Watertown, WI, the daughter of Edwin and Dorothy Seefeldt. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1966 and then moved to Madison, WI where she was employed by the Wisconsin Department of Revenue for 18 years and the University of Wisconsin-Madison for 16 years. In 1968 she married Ronald C. Johnson and was married for 32 years. In2000 she moved to Las Vegas where she resided until her death. From 2000 to 2014 she was in a Domestic Partnership with Larry Malasoma until he passed away in 2014. While in Madison she was involved with the Arthritis Foundation serving at one time on their Board of Directors and was instrumental in the formation of the Madison Arthritis Club: She became a Big Sister to Tina LaVigne and truly enjoyed their time together. In Las Vegas Eljean looked forward to her volunteer job at Mountain View Hospital in the ER. As an owner of a corvette she was involved with the Las Vegas Corvettes Association serving as their Membership Chairperson for a number of years. She also enjoyed volunteering with the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. She was an avid fan of the Badgers and the Packers. Once a fan, always a fan. She is preceded in death by her parents, Uncles Harold and Albert Koenig, her Aunt Marcella, her former husband Ron Johnson, her Legal Domestic Partner, Larry Malasoma and her beloved dog, Foxy. She is survived by her sister Renee Sterwalt of Wasilla, AK, her dear friends; Mary Beske of Madison, WI and Marlene Koss of Dewey, AZ. Eljean will be cremated and her ashes returned to Wisconsin to be spread in her favorite places, Lake Monona and the Yahara River. |
