Events Glenn D. Dantuma age 61 of Hartford, Wisconsin passed away suddenly as a result of a truck accident on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 in Illinois.He was born on June 26, 1954 in Kirksville, Missouri to Edward and Mary (nee Gassen) Dantuma. He was united in marriage to Christine Werner on September 6, 1986 at St. Kilian Church in Hartford.Glenn was a straight shooter and meticulous. He loved his family and loved those around him. He had a kind and gentle spirit even though he intimidated many. He would do anything for anyone. And he could usually fix or build anything someone might need. He loved playing on the computer, watching movies, was a great chef, a techy and loved riding his motorcycle. He would often take his family on trips around the area and would stop for a great treat somewhere. Glenn served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He drove truck as a career first for Wisconsin Protein for many years driving cross country then for UPS Freight where he would make 2 trips to IL every night.Glenn is survived by his loving wife Christine, his beloved, girls, Gloria and Brettny, his siblings, Chuck Dantuma of Watertown, Maureen (Kerry) Dantuma-Yarosz of Watertown, Ed (Jill) Dantuma of Watertown, Roger (Diana) Dantuma of Lomira and Audrey (Duane) Mackey of Ohio, His mother-in-law, Gertrude Werner of Hartford, his brothers-in-law, Ken (Cheryl) Werner of Hartford, Richard Werner of Richland Center, Ron (Faith) Werner of Theresa, and sister-in-law Kathy Werner of North Fond du Lac. He is further survived by his dear friend and brother Scott (Tammy) Heyse of Hartford and by other nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, his brother-in-law, Bill Yarosz, father-in-law, Herbert Werner and nephew Tim Dantuma.Memorial Funeral Services for Glenn will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St. Hartford, WI 53027) with Rev. Jeffrey Schimp officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends at Shimon Funeral Home on Friday, May 13, 2016 from 3:30 &ndashuntil the 7:00 p.m. service.Memorials to the Milwaukee Rescue Mission or the United Way of Washington County would be appreciated.
