| Events | Joan E. Holston, 91 (formerly of Fort Atkinson), died on Friday, March 7th, 2025, at The View at Johnson Creek. She was born on October 2, 1933, in Watertown, the daughter of Arthur and Hazel (Lemke) Vergenz. Joan attended Watertown High School, and married Phillip Holston on July 2, 1955 at the First Congregational Church in Watertown. She had been a Fort Atkinson resident since 1961, moving from Watertown. She was a member of First Congregational Church, Fort Atkinson. Survivors include her son, Steven (Shari) Holston, two grandsons, Eric Holston and Nicholas Holston, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; Phil, by her parents; by her sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Earl Hafemeister; and by two sisters-in-law, their spouses; and six brothers-in-law and their spouses. There will be no services or visitation, per Joan's wishes. The family gives special thanks to the Common Heart Hospice Care Team for their compassionate care and support during Joan's last months. |
