Events | Marian Ruth (Preinfalk) Heese, aged 87, of Watertown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 2, 2023. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 11 a.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Watertown, with Rev. James Backus officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Lutheran Evangelical Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Mark's Lutheran School would be appreciated, honoring Marian's commitment to her faith and community. Marian Ruth Preinfalk was born on November 24, 1936, to Elmer & Dora (Rieck) Preinfalk. A proud graduate of Watertown High School in 1954, Marian excelled in subjects like sewing and bookkeeping. Her early career included roles at Globe Milling Co. and the Black Orchid Supper Club. Marian spent the majority of her career at Doug Hills Accounting as a tax preparer. Marian married Robert "Bob" C. Heese on November 8, 1958, at the Methodist Church in Watertown. Together, they raised three sons, Tom, Jim, and John. Bob passed away on June 23, 2018. A woman of many interests, Marian was known for her love of singing in the mixed choir, her passion for flowers, birds, reading, cooking, and gardening. She was also an avid fan of NASCAR and the Green Bay Packers. Above all, Marian cherished the time spent with her grandchildren, embracing every moment with them. Marian is survived by her three sons, Tom (Lynn) Heese of Milwaukee, Jim (Terri) Heese of Watertown, John (Dani) Heese of Watertown; and her grandchildren, Kristie (Justin) Mittelstaedt, Chuck Heese, Maggie Heese, Melanie (fiance Derek Kumbier) Heese, Kris Shea, Kory (fiancee Christine Norris) Shea, Kaley Shea; 10 great-grandchildren; along with other beloved family members and friends. Marian is preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother, Merlin (Pat) Preinfalk. |
