| Events | Mark L. Gallert, 67, of Watertown, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at his home. Friends and family may gather on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. for visitation at Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with a service to follow. Rev. Anthony Schultz and Rev. Justin Cloute of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will take place at Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown. Mark Lee Gallert was born on August 16, 1951 to Karl and Alma (nee Leibelt) Gallert. He was part of the 1969 graduating class at Watertown High School. He served as a member of the United States Navy following his high school graduation. Mark married the former Carolyn Huebner on August 15, 1981 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Watertown. He was employed at Watertown Metal Products as a supervisor for 42 years until his retirement. Mark was a member of the American Legion Post 189. Mark enjoyed going to flea markets shopping for antiques and hunting for hidden treasures, doing wood working projects, and collecting Hot Wheel Cars. He also enjoyed watching the Packers, grilling out and cooking for his family. Mark is survived by his wife of 37 years, Carolyn Gallert; children, Mark (Hailey) Gallert, Christina Gallert; step-children, Dawn (Mike) Degner, Stacey (Clint) Haberman; son/grandson, Brandon Mathews; grandchildren, Alex Miller, Kodey Byers, Kylie Genrich, Hannah Buss, Kavik Haberman; siblings, Don (Diane) Gallert, Lee Gallert, Dale (Debbie) Gallert, Cindy Lambert (Gallert). He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Dorothy DuBois, Mary Batine , Carl Gallert Jr., Roger Gallert, Gene Gallert, Sharon McCluskey. |
