| Events | Robert R. Yager, 68, of Watertown, passed away on November 21, 2023, at Watertown Regional Medical Center. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hafemeister Funeral Home. Born on September 17, 1955, in Hillsboro, to Richard "Dick" and Marie (Dreifke) Yager, Robert was raised on a dairy and beef farm. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1973. Robert was employed at Watertown Metals, where he played a vital role in maintaining their machinery and electrical. An avid coach, Robert dedicated time to his children's soccer and baseball teams. Known for his sense of humor and how to put a smile on your face, he enjoyed camping, tending to his land, and was a fan of western movies. Above all, Robert cherished moments spent with his family and valued being a grandpa to his two grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Shannon, Alicia, Elijah, and Emily Yager; his granddaughter, Lilliana Yager and her mother, Emi Weide; his grandson, Silas Yager; his siblings, Marietta Kehring, Julie (David) Anderson, Matthew Yager and sister-in-law Janice Yager; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Rosemarie (Steve) Liners, and James Yager. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service is serving the family.
