Events | Steven C. Heller, 79, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by his family on November 12, 2024. A funeral service will be held at Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown, WI at 11 a.m. on November 19, 2024 with Pastor Karl Walther officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation November 18, 2024 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and also the day of the service from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Immediately following the service, a graveside service with military honors will occur at the Watertown Moravian Cemetery. Steven Charles Heller was born on October 10, 1945 to parents Elroy and Margaret (Krueger) Heller in Watertown, Wisconsin. Steven graduated from Watertown High School in 1964. Steven was part of the Marine Corps and served in Vietnam from 1964 until 1968. He retired from Lake Country Foods/Carnation in 2008. Steven was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed outdoor sports such as hunting and fishing. When he wasn't embracing the outdoors, Steven was very passionate about cheering on his favorite sports teams, such as the Packers, or watching the NASCAR races. Steven also loved to craft and spend time with his family. Steven is survived by his 3 children, Tracy (Bill Caminata) Heller of Friendship, Craig (Caroline) Heller of Watertown, and Sarah (Matt) Richards of Watertown; 5 grandchildren, Ryan (Carly) Schoeffling, Samantha Schoeffling, Anthony (Jenna) Baumann, Courtney Heller, and Conner Richards; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sharon (Lester) Kuerschner and Lisa Heller; brother-in-law, Roger DeBolt; as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Elroy and Margaret; sister, Linda DeBolt; and former wives Shari Heller and Mary Heller. The family sends their thanks to the VA and the CLC for the care and compassion they gave to him during his last few months. |
