Wayne Gutzdorf, age 66, of Watertown, passed away on Monday morning July 22, 2013 at the VA Hospital in Madison. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013 at 7 p.m. at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with Rev. Ray Bezanson officiating, followed by Military Burial Rites. Relatives and friends may call at the Hafemeister Funeral Home on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Watertown Relay for Life. Wayne Gutzdorf was born on July 20, 1947 in Watertown the son of Alex and Bernice (Zastrow) Gutzdorf. He attended school in Watertown and was a 1965 graduate of the Watertown High School. Wayne served in the US Army, in Viet Nam, where he was awarded a purple heart as a result of his wounds. Wayne had been a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars #7852 in Watertown. He had been employed by Ken's Auto Body Shop in Watertown, for many years, prior to owning the business. Wayne owned the business for a few years and then went on to be employed by Watertown Body Shop in Watertown until his retirement. He enjoyed his dogs and hunting. Wayne is survived by his wife, Kathy Gutzdorf of Watertown; a daughter, Erin Gutzdorf of Watertown and a son Eric "Gib" (Stephanie) Gutzdorf of Watertown; a grandson, Parker Gutzdorf; two sisters, Sandra Honn of Spokane, WA and Beverly (Michael) Schilling of Watertown; seven brothers, David Gutzdorf of Watertown; Howard (Joyce) Gutzdorf of Watertown; Ronald "Hoot" Gutzdorf of Watertown; Scott "Rooster" (Lori) Gutzdorf of Watertown; Daniel "Neck" Gutzdorf of Watertown; Michael "Punkin" Gutzdorf of Watertown and Dennis (Debbie) Gutzdorf of Watertown, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sharon "Schnookie" Gutzdorf.
